WildAid

"We believe that when the buying stops, the killing can too."

The illegal wildlife trade is a multi-billion dollar global industry largely driven by consumer demand in expanding economies. While most wildlife conservation groups focus on scientific studies and anti-poaching efforts, WildAid works to reduce global consumption of wildlife products in east Asia and to increase local support for conservation efforts in the wildlife-rich countries of Africa.

WildAid currently works in Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Gabon, in partnership with governments and local NGOs. Our goal is to highlight the cultural and economic value of wildlife and to reach the hearts and minds of the public through media such as TV, radio, billboards and social media. Using the tried and trusted methods that we have used in east Asia, we enhance the public understanding of the long-term value of wildlife to the economy, promote both domestic and international wildlife tourism, create awareness about the costs of the illegal wildlife trade, while also funding innovative solutions to mitigate human-wildlife conflict.

Proceeds from Stay Wild will go towards WildAid’s campaign in Tanzania, which will focus on rallying public and political support for the conservation of the African lion.

Nomad Tanzania Trust.

What we stand for and why.

The Nomad Trust works on three main areas of focus; Conservation, Education and Health. Our in-house team work alongside our camp folk to run initiatives of our own, as well as use our influence to generate awareness and support for projects that are strongly aligned with our core Nomad values.

We know that without an active involvement in conservation and community improvement, as well as a commitment to sustainable management of Tanzania’s wonderful wildlife and habitats, our children won’t have the same pleasure and privilege we've enjoyed all these years.
